Dr. Havemann

Veterinarian / Owner

Dr. Melissa Havemann grew up in Jarrell, Texas showing in the English and Western Equine Circuit. She also participated in the local 4H and was president of the Jarrell FFA. She played softball and volleyball for JHS and represented the Cougars in many academic endeavors while growing up as a proud Jarrell Cougar.

She obtained both her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Texas A&M University. During her stay at Texas A&M, she worked as a veterinary technician in a large equine hospital, ran an equine boarding facility, and worked in an Equine Infectious Disease Lab.

After she graduated with her DVM from Texas A&M, she completed an equine internship at a referral hospital servicing over 30 referral veterinarians. It was during her internship that she developed her love of emergency, medical, and lameness cases. She moved back home to Texas upon the completion of her internship and worked at one of the largest mixed animal practices in Texas at Alvarado Veterinary Clinic where she cultivated her passion for mixed animal medicine.

Dr. Havemann has worked in several mixed animal practices over the years and has developed many beloved relationships with her patients and their families. Growing up, she always wanted to become the hometown doc that could help serve her community as part of her extended family.

Dr. Havemann spends her free time outdoors with her two children, Jackson (3) and Haley (1), her husband, Denton, and her two dogs, Cooper and Barkley and horses, Feather and Kai.

Her dream of owning her own hospital has come to life in Compassion Veterinary Hospital and she looks forward to making new relationships with you and your family members!

Actively involved in 4-H and FFA throughout her youth, she exhibited a variety of livestock including lambs, goats, steers, and heifers. She also competed in livestock judging and the Leaders 4 Life program, while holding several leadership roles within both organizations. In addition to her agricultural involvement, Dr. Muenich was a cheerleader and a varsity softball athlete.

She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University with honors.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Dr. Muenich enjoys spending time outdoors with her Border Collie, Rusty. Her personal interests include fishing, dancing, and traveling.

Angel Wolfe

Angel was born and raised in Texas, making New Braunfels her first home before moving to Jarrell to set up more permanent roots for her family. Angel is not only our Practice Manager but also a Veterinary Technician. She grew up in veterinary clinics from a very early age and working in veterinary hospitals where her mom worked at the age of 14 years old.

Angel is currently in school pursuing her license as a technician before moving forward to obtain her Veterinary Practice Management Certification. Angel is known for her infectious joy and smile, her love for intensive care patients, creating positive experiences for fearful patients and their owners, providing client education on patient behavior, and building a team of individuals who lift each other up continuously while pushing each other to grow and achieve their dreams.

Outside of CVH, Angel enjoys spending time with her fiance and their four cats (Clarabell, Dina, Thumbelina, and Toulouse). She enjoys reading, dancing, and cooking. Angel is also known for her love of all things Disney. Her goals include being an active member of the Jarrell community and creating a village where she can raise a family.

Mikaela Henry

Veterinary Technician

Mikaela was born in Georgetown, Texas, but she grew up in Jarrell, a small town where most of her family still resides. Her roots are deeply embedded in the community, and the experience of growing up in a close-knit town has played a significant role in shaping the person she is today.

Mikaela began her formal education in Jarrell in the sixth grade. At the time, she wasn’t entirely sure what career path she wanted to pursue, but life had a way of guiding her toward something unexpected. After graduating high school, she found herself uncertain about her next steps. It was during this time that a conversation with a close friend proved to be life-changing. Her friend, who was pursuing a career as a veterinary technician, spoke passionately about working with animals. That conversation ignited a spark in Mikaela, and she realized that she, too, wanted to work in the animal care field.

In 2018, Mikaela took her first steps into the world of animal medicine by starting her career in Austin. From that moment on, she never looked back. Working with animals quickly became more than just a job—it became her calling. The field challenges her constantly, but it also brings her immense satisfaction knowing she helps animals and their owners every day.

On a personal note, Mikaela’s life is filled with love and laughter. She is married to her high school sweetheart, and together they are raising a beautiful daughter. Their home is lively and bustling with pets, including four dogs—Sadie, Riley, Scout, and Shadow—and a mischievous cat named Goose. Though it often feels like a circus of animals, Mikaela wouldn’t have it any other way.

Looking ahead, Mikaela is eager to continue growing both personally and professionally. Her journey is far from over, and she’s excited to see where it takes her, especially with the unwavering support of her loving family by her side.
